Here at B’s Plumbing, we can snake sewer mains up to 6″ with our Ridgid Kl 500 Cable Machine. The Kl 500 uses a 1 1/4″ steel cable which withstands the constant rodding process. We have multiple bits for every occasion from the retrieval bits from 1 1/4″ up to 4″ wide. If we find that there are roots in the main sewer, we also have multiple cutter bits to chew up those pesky roots.

When we find that you have roots, we then can set you up with a maintenance schedule. We will also recommend you use a product called Root Ex by Hercules chemical company. To help keep the roots from growing back, we will also give you an estimate on replacing the sewer main. Once roots find their way in, they will never stop seeking the water inside of your sewer pipe.
For drains under 2″ we use the General mini rooter. The mini rooter uses a 3/8″ steel cable which will handle 1 1/4″ to 4″ drains. It is light and small but will get the job done with its 1/3 horsepower motor. Again, it comes with multiple bits and cutters to get through the toughest soap scum and hair to the retrieval bit to find out what’s causing the problem. Whether it is a kitchen sink, lav or a tub drain the mini rooter can handle it.

Where would a plumber be without his trusty plunger and toilet auger for those times the toilet backs up? With the toilet auger, we can retrieve that washcloth or disinfectant wipe that was dropped in by mistake. So, whatever the sewage backup problem we have you covered.
